It's all about the running of course but whew, what a weekend in Boston! The Reggae Marathon team including the Jamaica Tourist Board met up with a ton of Boston Marathon runners who were also Reggae Marathon fans. Lots of stories, lots of fun…and lots of pictures.
Barb is running her 1st Boston. Her path to Boston is an inspiring story. As regular vacationers to Jamaica, her husband Mark always wanted to run Reggae Marathon. Unfortunately he passed away of a heart attack while training to run NYC marathon in 2010. Since he died doing what he loved she decided to run NYC in memory of him. The most amazing events unfolded on race day that led to her finally qualifying and fulfilling Mark's prediction before he died that she would run Boston in 2012. Inspired by her Mom, Brittany will be tweeting inspirational messages for her Mom.
Blue was inspired to start running after reading Bob Marley's 'Catch indian generic levitra a Fire' biography. Blue is a competitive runner with Forever Runners and says Bob is a longstanding hero both for his music and consciousness. Coming to Jamaica and Reggae Marathon would be a culmination to Blue's interest about everything Jamaican: “I love Jamaicans and I haven't even been yet! Looking forward to running your race, and the adventure within…Wake up and live”.
