All I want for Christmas is a new running jacket. And a new Garmin watch…I ran with one at Reggae Marathon a few weeks ago and ‘I want one!’ Other than that I’m pretty easy to shop for at Christmas. I tell my family if they haven’t gotten the numerous hints that a gift card to my favourite running store works just as well. But if you just must buy a present for a runner in your family, here are some great ideas:
Cold weather running clothes. To stay comfortable outside in the winter, runners need windproof and waterproof jackets, running shirts and pants made from synthetic fabrics such as polypropylene, running gloves, mittens, and hats designed for runners, all made from synthetics. Cold weather running gear
GPS Watches. Into gadgets? One of the best for tracking comprehensive running data is a good GPS watch. The Garmin Forerunner is one of the favourites. It tracks a lot of information including distance, calories burned over the distance of the workout to name a few. Running GPS watches
Running Belt. For the runner who needs to securely carry everything from a smartphone, keys, energy gels ID and other small personal items. Running Belts
Medal Wall Hangers. If you can convince your spouse to let you display your medals, a Medal wall hanger is a must! This one from MedalArt holds up to 24 medals. MedalArt Wall Hanger
Hydration Belt. For those longer runs, a good hydration belt that holds multiple squeeze bottles is ideal. Hydration Belts
