When the weather isn’t great, or we’ve just had a big race and don’t have anything to train for, it can be hard to stay motivated to go out for a run. What has helped me to stay motivated to run is finding an accountability buddy. Having someone to greet me with a smile at 6:00 am when it’s 32 degrees out makes it a lot easier to get out of bed for a run.
Sometimes, but not always, getting a new pair of running shoes or a cute singlet to wear can be motivation enough to get out for a run.
