In the photo above, those are just a few of the Reggae Runnerz who where in Jamaica last week for Reggae Marathon. And if you were at the Pasta Party last Friday night, you certainly could not have missed them!  From giving media interviews to racing on Saturday morning to their post-race Victory Celebration Dinner Saturday night, it was a non-stop runcation in Negril for the Reggae Runnerz.  (We hear they are already planning their return for Reggae Marathon next year on December 6, 2014 and have invited the men…)

Another near perfect night in Negril for the World’s Best Pasta Party!  The food stations were hopping from 5 pm and as the sun set the sounds of the Silver Bird Steel Band filled the air along with the delicious aromas of pasta.  The Reggae Runnerz were easy to spot as well in their distinctive T Shirts.

8 hours later the ladies show no sign of slowing down…indeed, they’re ready to be sent off at the always-on-time 5:15 am start.  If they packaged their enthusiasm it would sell like hotcakes!

Getting it dun! Pom poms and all, the Reggae Marathon Finisher Medals say it all…”we came for the sun, the fun and the run”!

Ahhhh…now let the fun begin.  Reggae Marathon finishes less than 100 metres from the warm Caribbean Sea.  Past the cooling tent, grad the best natural electrolyte replacements, a banana and a fresh cut coconut before enjoying a Red Stripe Beer.  Then it’s down to the water to celebrate in Reggae Marathon style!

Reggae Runnerz…nice to have met you in Negril last week.  Only 51 weeks to go to Reggae Marathon 2014, December 6.  See you in Negril next year!
