We’re social at Reggae Marathon. On Instagram, Facebook and Twitter…in particular Facebook. We meet up only once each year, the first Saturday of December in Negril for the Reggae Marathon Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K but we talk with each other all through the year online. And it’s been even better this year as we get closer to December 2 and the 17th annual running of Reggae Marathon.
Over the years we’ve had a few changes: The original Marathon route that stretched out to Green Island has been replaced with two loops of the Half Marathon Course; Participation has increased to over 2,500 runners now and this year we have a cap of 3,000 runners; We moved last year to Cosmos for the Friday night Pasta Party…this year we’re back at the Couples Swept Away Sporting Complex; Runners now come from over 30 countries!
What hasn’t changed is the focus on providing the best running experience we can: World’s Best Pasta Party Friday night is included in the Reggae Marathon Registration Fee; Torchlight start on Saturday morning; 5:15 am start on Saturday morning; Start and Finish at Long Bay Beach Park; Post-race swim in the Caribbean. If that’s all you do at Reggae Marathon, you’re ‘Experienced’! It’s what drew me to Negril in the first place and keeps me coming back year after year…this year is my 9th consecutive! But I’m not special in that regard: We have runners who’ve been coming to Reggae every year since our first event back in 2000!
To keep the social thing going, we’d love you to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ReggaeMarathon/
Twitter: @reggaemarathon
We use these three hashtags:

We look forward to continuing being social with you online and in Negril for Reggae Marathon 2017, November 30 – December 2.
Until next time…
